Planning to Move Across the Country?

Bye-New-Jersey

Bye New Jersey, last day!

Have you ever moved across the country?

Have you ever moved across the country? Or to a different state in order to start a “new life”?

Well, we moved across the country! We didn’t want to start a “new life” per say but we did want a change for both of us.  We wanted a calmer environment, warmer weather to say bye bye to shoveling or cold winters & start our new adventure Together! We lived in North New Jersey, only 15 minutes away from the city that never sleeps! Yea, you know New York City.

My fiancé and I were up for the challenge to try something new!

Of course, no one moves to a different state without first visiting; so we did & we literally fell in love with it.

We knew we wanted to move out, about 8 months out.  Everything went so smooth except for ONE thing!  The MOVERS – they took their sweet time to get to our new place in Arizona… when I say sweet time is because I’m definitely not kidding.  It took them about 1 month or a little more to get here. So we were living off a suitcase for that amount of time; girls can’t you believe this! Just a piece of advice, try not to use a moving company! I recommend using pods instead. Anyways, enough of that!

People in Arizona are so full of energy they are always out & about.  Also, if you love the outdoors & beautiful nature landscape this is the place to be! We basically have gone hiking or exploring Arizona mostly every weekend and yet we don’t manage to get tired of it, and probably never will!

Did I mention how good the Mexican food is here! You would love it so much that instead of chewing your food you will devour it!  There are many great restaurants around the area, that I feel like you never run out of choices.

Renting and buying a house is so affordable here is ridiculous! You can get your dream home for way less than what you would spend in an expensive city like New York City or Los Angeles. So why not consider moving across the country?

Conrats on the big move! I moved to the Phoenix area from New York many years ago. I do miss being able to head into NYC whenever I want, but the only other time I miss it is Christmas Day (just one day of snow!) and seeing the leaves change. There’s nothing like fall in the Hudson Valley! Anyway, welcome to Arizona – good luck next summer LOL

My husband and I moved from South New Jersey to the pine woods of Southeast Texas last November! It’s a much slower lifestyle around here. It’s been nice to kind of unwind and relax from the hectic Philly lifestyle. ‘Traffic’ here is like 7 cars on the road haha! The move was a struggle for us, too. Our transmission crapped out in MS and we were kind of stranded with our whole life in the back of the car! It all worked out though and it’s been a beautiful change! Hope you guys keep loving Arizona! It looks so gorgeous!!
