1.Invitations

The first step to planning the fabulous bridal shower is to choose the invitation. I know you are familiar with the online site Etsy, honestly, this is my go-to website for everything. You pick an invitation from all the different styles that Etsy has and download it and then print them at your local Staples/office max.  You should try to pick an invitation that matches the theme of the bridal shower. Make sure to ask your bride to give you a list of people you’d like to invite. Then send out the invitations, about two months in advance to let the guest know to expect a brunch style shower.

2. Decorations

The most important part of a bridal shower is the decor! I’m sure by this point your bride has sent you tons of Pinterest inspiration pictures and if she hasn’t make sure she does! Tell her to check out Pinterest it will become her best friend if it already isn’t. I’m telling you from experience this will help you out tremendously to narrow down what she likes! The good thing for you is there’s plenty of decorations out there, you just have to search! Once you have the theme you stick to it and create her vision. Again, there are so many decorations on ETSY that will help you & the bridesmaids make the best bridal shower ever!

3. Games

When you are planning a brunch-themed shower, feel free to skip the generic games. Add some punch to it and do a prosecco pong! Everyone loves beer pong so why not step it up a notch. If you think it can get messy then play find the guest! “Find the Guest” is one of the bridal shower game ideas that also serves as an awesome icebreaker that will get the girls to start interacting.

Every guest gets a checklist where they have to find someone who has a certain characteristic. Circulate the room to find another guest who has been married ten years or longer, speaks a foreign language, is wearing blue shoes…you get the picture. Everyone will have a ball chatting up the room to find out who wears contact lenses or who traveled over 50 miles to attend the shower.

Another amazing game that you can include is “Where are we?”, you can hang up 10 or so numbered pictures of the bride and her fiancé on various trips or in different locations. Guests can write down where they think each picture was taken, and the person with the most correct guesses wins a small prize.

4. Game Prizes

This is a must if you are going to have brunch themed games you need prizes to match! Breakfast essential baskets, Starbucks breakfast blend, etc. You can even give out bottles of champagne, or mimosas if you want to get fancy!

5. Food

The key to any bridal shower is to have delicious food! Who doesn’t like bangin’ food? Yes, for this there are so many options to choose from, however, the venue usually narrows it down for you. They usually give you a menu with different options, then from there, you should let your bride choose. You can either decide to do a fancier bridal shower or a DIY bridal shower. Any way you choose to go depending on bridesmaids’ budget, it will turn out fantastic! Make sure to have cute pastries, like cupcakes!

6. Drinks

Ok, besides food, drinks are the next important item! This is where the fun begins! You want to have your guests at least a little buzzed so they can feel comfortable enough to get out of their comfort zone. Oh, yea and did I forget to mention DIY mimosa bar is a requirement! You can even have a bowl filled with a punch of some sort if you are doing a DIY bridal shower!

7. Favors

Understand that no bridal shower is complete without some festive favors.  Keep it yummy and stylish with donuts, coffee, and personalized cookies. You can be as bubbly as you want but don’t forget to still keep the theme that you are trying to achieve in mind.  Now, if you want to show off how thoughtful you are. OPI makes a nail polish called ” Be There in a Prosecco” and Essie has similar ones. This nail polish is the one that my bridesmaids got for my guests! It added a special touch to my bridal shower.

8. Gifts

Leave the best for last! Make sure you ask your bride to get her registry done two weeks before her bridal shower so guests can go and purchase items. You must get a brunch-themed gift for your bride. First, take a look at her Registries since those items are the ones they need for their house. You can personalize cutting board, etc with the bride’s new last name which is always a thoughtful thing!
